On October 15, 2026, Mr. Phokin Chamket, Director of the Regional Water Resources Office 3, assigned the Water Resources Conservation Division 1, Udon Thani, to participate in a National Focus Group meeting under the theme “Blue Green Human to Wetland Green City” at the Apicha Meeting Room, Montathip Hall International Convention Center, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province. The Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with the International Horticultural Exposition, aimed to gather opinions and formulate policy proposals for sustainable wetland management, develop a strategic plan for sustainable wetland development, and highlight Nong Han Kumphawapi as a model area. The meeting aimed to connect natural resource conservation, community economics, and green city development, with preparations for the Green City Conference at the 2026 International Horticultural Exposition in Udon Thani. Ms. Sasiya Pantan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Agriculture, presided over the opening of the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Natthapol Vithi, Deputy Governor of Udon Thani Province; Mr. Waradisorn Onnuch, Governor of Sing Buri Province; Mr. Cheewapap Cheewatham, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Environment; and Ms. Kanjana Thongna, Director of the International Horticultural Exposition Organizing Committee, as well as experts, speakers, representatives from government agencies, the private sector, and community leaders from the area.
